An organization that can attract and satisfy media will most always have a very good website. I have found Stokes Nature Center to have what they need in a website to help any viewer understand where, how, and why, to get involved.
I like their website for some specific reasons. I think that any media trying to find out something about their program would have any easy time locating important information.
1. They have an "About Us" section. This is useful for anyone seeking information regarding their motives, and what they are about. The media could use this information in a press release given to them, a public service announcement given to them, for an article they are writing, and basically any other place they would need to talk about us. In this section the media would find their hours so they could call if they needed, and it talks about the history of their program and their location. Very helpful and clear.
2. They have a label board on the top of their website that could take a viewer to any of the information regarding programs (specified into different ages), special events, nature, how to get involved, scouting, and an "about" page. This is helpful for those that do want to get involved, as well as for the media trying to find times and program names to annouce or to write about.
3. The last thing that is very helpful is that they have photos of activities, facilities, and nature. This is very helpful for any media trying to cover a story or give some publicity. A picture is perfect in this type of publicity, and could really help their cause.
I believe their website is a legitimate place for the media or any viewer to go to, and understand their organization.
